"Castle in the Sky" is a 1986 Japanese animated fantasy adventure film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
The story follows two orphans, Sheeta and Pazu, who are pursued by government agent Muska, the army, and a group of pirates. All three parties seek Sheeta's crystal necklace, the key to accessing Laputa, a legendary flying castle hosting advanced technology. Throughout their journey, they encounter various adventures and attacks, eventually reaching Laputa. Not long after they arrived, they discover
that the technology in the castle could bring strife and turmoil to the world, prompting them to join forces to destroy it.
Inspired by these central elements—the flying castle, the crystal necklace, and the robot—I chose to incorporate them into the design of the movie poster. For the movie title, I opted for a classic font style and attempted to match the colour and style with the original animation.
